From the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review Editorial page:
Perhaps Jack Murtha put it best: The Pennsylvania congressman says . . . President Bush is delusional. Based on the president’s recent performance, we could not agree more. “Staying the course” is not simply futile — it is a prescription for American suicide.
All we hear is that leaving Iraq will only make things worse, as if it isn’t already. Forget the Pottery Barn rule (“you break it, you own it”); it’s time for the Target rule: you broke it, you return it, and buy some other shit with that money, like a furry soft chair or some gummy bears or a hat. They’ll take back anything.
As the editorial continues:
President Bush warns that U.S. withdrawal would risk “mass killings on a horrific scale.” What do we have today, sir?
