Getting Things Done For People

I’m wondering if there is a greater irony, ever, than the President lecturing the media about how the election was so close, and as a result, the American people expect them to work together “to get stuff done.”

Glenn Greenwald

Yes, because the last two presidential elections were such landslides! Remember Bush talking about spending the capital he earned after the last election, as if he had crushed his opponent and received an overwhelming approval for his first four years? The great divider never intended to unite anyone or anything, and I won’t hold my breath that that will change now.

By the way, that slogan “Getting Things Done For People” was used by Mr. Blago in his re-election campaign for governor. Is that the most vague, lame-ass slogan ever? Or was he just that confident of victory?
